I have an 01 Monte with amp 10309547 that is cutting out in the front left speaker. Been looking everywhere for months. The local larger junk yard in the area has 4, 01 Impalas.

Does the amp from the 01 Impalas work on the 01 Monte Carlos? It's one digit off on the model number. Not sure if the wire harness fits or not.

 

I had the same problem it turned out to be the head unit went out due to horrible wiring by the previous owner. I was able to prove it by locating the power amp wire which is blue on the aftermarket plug (if you didnt already cut your wiring) and powering that wire with the radio on. If you hear sound than the radio is not turning on your amp wire. I also have the wiring diagrams from GM if anyone needs them. I had to re-wire my whole sound system due to retarded previous owners who thought they knew what they were doing. My radio wouldn't turn on unless my head lights were on.
