Do you have an old one? just switch the internals around, i'm assuming if you just got a new one you got it for the better buttons, that's what i did and just swapped the internals.

otherwise without the stock radio, you have to take it to a dealership

You can, i've done it when i bought the car 4.5 years ago... just follow the prompt through the radio (access it the same way you would to reset the oil monitoring)

The stock radio or the dealership are your only options. If you have the stock radio laying around just hook it back up.

Do you have the original key fob? stop by and I'll swap them for you, or you can do it, just swap the case and the buttons

Buy a harness that you could relocate the stock radio with, and then tuck the wires away and only hook up your radio as you need its functions.

I'm a locksmith and I wasn't able to program the remote with my Key Programmer either. I had to go to the Junk Yard and get a stock radio and have it unlocked to program my remote. I also invented a trick to repair the remote if the battery tray has became un-soldered from the board. A soldering iron can get too hot and damage the internals but this way seems to be flawless if anyone wants to know, I'll explain it.
