I remember the canopy issue last year. The owners were immediately apologizing and a guy who's car was hit was
Very rude towards ppl already willing to help make things right.
Sadly, I think both parties were to blame. One canopy got air born hit a second canopy and not sure which one hit the guy's car. Bit clearly neither party secured their canopies.

I can understand the wind gusts launching a canopy, see it quite a bit at the swap meet here. You almost need two full 5 gallon buckets anchored to each corner and a razor knife handy to slash the material if it starts to get away from you...
Keane make sure you label yours "Property of the GTP Club" and keep on walking if we lose it...
Also received my Carlisle event paperwork. No pass, just something to show at the gate I guess.

I am currently with my wife in Carlisle for the ford nationals. I think I found a neat spot to add to the places to do a photoshoot. A shut down gas station that still has the pumps in place. It is on rt11 between the show field and Howard Johnson/quality inn.
Down side, I just saw it in the pic I attached. A couple of no trespassing signs
But i think there r various shutdown buildings on rt11 that would be neat. Also don't forget a shoot at the show field

HOTEL UPDATE: My wife and I got home today from showing her Mustang at the Ford Nationals.
We stayed at the Carlisle Howard Johnsons this time. We were rather disappointed. It's no where near what the pics online look like (sure, I saw the dining and party rooms, but they don't look like that anymore, heck the dining area is reduced to a couple of tables instead of the many booths shown in the pic, the booths are all pushed to the back of the room). Far from the cleanest place I've seen. No waffle mix for the waffle iron, but they had syrup. And the biggest oddity, if I sat on the toilet in our bathroom, I could rest my head on the vanity at the same time.
Just re-booked with Days Inn South and canceled the HoJo for the GM Nationals. Hopefully a far better experience.
I also know Chibi has done the same based on my experience with HoJo.

Perhaps they should change it's name to Jo's Ho, the hang over vanity right by the head... That's old school arraingement. Days Inn it is!!
Will be joining the NYMCC crew on Friday as well... unfortunately I'll be coming from the opposite side of the state, so wont be joining the caravan down. I'll be there Friday night.
