Sub and Amp ?'s
Hey Guys
I currently have a stock system, except for my USA Spec PA-11 iPod Adapter. Im looking at putting a system in my 04 Monte Ls, but I dont need anything crazy, just some bump. Ideally I would like to do a 12" sub, amp and upgrading the speakers. For now I have no plans to put an aftermarket deck in. I already have a 12" Sony Xplod, what would be a good amp to power it, I am planning on hooking it up via Line Out Converter. I dont need anything ridiculous or expensive Thanks

What are the specs of the sub? You could always match it back up with a Sony Xplod amp. If I remember correct they are usually fairly cheap. There are other brands out there that could be better and around the same price. Is there a price range you would like to stay around?
they are exceptionaly cheap, and made to match that price. i'd suggest perhaps a Rocker fosgate PRIME R250-1

even a rocket fosgate Punch P300-1

that should keep ya in budget, and drop that sony in a ported box, properly sized for the sub you have. and judging by the specs of the sony explodes im looking at, that's roughly 1.13 CF which is amazing, thats only .2 CF larger than the recommended sealed size for my JBL lol. anywas
this would do ya for the sub

its a little oversized but you could put a board int heir 1 1\2" fromt he wall should equal it out, even with out doing that i think you'd be fine.
