does anyone know if the lights in a stock radio can be changed. or are they non-sevicable like clusters and climate control units. I would like to change them to blue to match the other lights i'm getting thru bbengineer

 

they are the same "unserviceable" lights. Would have to be popped open, unsoldered and then solder in the new lights.

Can't bbengineer do that for you too?

 

yah he can...he actually has a write up. altho unserviceable often does not really mean they cant b changed

 

I received an e-mail from bbengineer and he said it was too labor intensive and so would be very expensive and so he does not do them.

 

maybe buy a 2nd radio, and practice :P

 

update- at corvetteradios.com they can sell you a 10 pack of blue bulbs for $25.00 SHIPPED. they will also do the replacemet for you for $110.00 after you ship it to them. comes with a 1 year warr. the bulbs have to be unsoldered and then new soldered in place. I will post some pics as soon as I get it back.
