Default steering wheel

Ok I am looking for a know steering wheel. mine is pitting and feeling sticky when it is raining out. I do not have volume controls on my steering wheel. My monty is a ls model and didn't come with volume controls. I noticed that in another post there is a part number for a leather wrapped type from a impala that came with volume controls and cruse controls on the steering wheel. What I am asking would some thing like that fit a ls like mine. because mine is pitting and all I would like to replace it but I am looking for more information. because I don't want to order some thing and would not work. What I mean is the cruse control. I wouldn't mind getting the bcm getting reprogramed for the radio but I wanted to ask because it is a blemish on a good looking interior and body.

I would imagine that gm would still have ran all the wires for cruise control and volume control to your steering wheel. That you may have to take off the horn to see behind it. In theory it should work for your 2007 ls for an impala that was made from 06-07 or even higher years but those should would defiantly fit.

I will check.
But I do have a question though would the air bag deploy if I slide it off the wheel to take a look?
I know I had to order a new harness for the flood lights I put on it is one of the things I wanted to ask.
But I do thank you for your input

You can pull the fuse for the air bag plus disconnect the battery as well when working on it. You will be fine then.
