Remote Wire for aftermarket amp

Did you install a new deck??... if so then why would you not run the "remote wire" from the deck which has a wire clearly marked "remote wire" ?

^^ I sincerely hope its because he didnt install an aftermarket deck, he didnt say he did, although "a new sound system" certainly could include one. I guess we'll find out when he chimes in

Hey guys....
You know what, I do have a new aftermarket deck and was not thinking about that. For some reason I focused on the harness that was already connected to the stock amp and since I had removed the stock amp thought about using the wire from there.
I compleletly forgot about the remote connection on the head unit lol....I feel so stupid but Milhouse thank you for the help and iMSeRiOuS thanks for pointing that out

This is awesome! I just bought a new amp and a sub and I'm going to be installing them with the factory stereo...I'm wanting a very clean system and did not know that these existed! Thanks for the help!!

lmao, no worries man, we all have moments like that. I see where you're coming from though, it would make the job much easier if you could just tap into the remote wire on the factory amp and run a short wire to your new amp. You're welcome, let me know if you have any more questions.
