Where to wire remote turn on

Where to wire remote turn on
Hopefully someone here can help me with this problem I am having. I have installed an amp and a cap. I have a power line running to a distribution block, then to the cap and the amp. I have a shut off switch wired to the remote turn on for the amp. FOr some reason, my battery is being drained. The cap is didgital, so I can tell that it is constantly being powered, but that's it. Is there a power up wire to the factory amp, if so which one. I've had to replace my battery and I have removed the inline fuse so currently, I dont have anything drawing on the battery. Any suggestions?

RE: Where to wire remote turn on
I tried a test light on the factory amp plug ins and I could not find a switched power lead. All of the wires lit up except two. Right now I have a switch to turn my amp off and on. This is becoming a problem, sometimes I forget and the amp and fan remains on and drains my battery. Any help suggestions are more than welcome and appreciated.

to avoid using the switch to turn your amp on and off, why not run the remote wire to your amplifier from your accessory fuse in the fuse box. that way the amp will only turn on when the accessories are turned on. thats how i ran the remote for my amp and it works no problem.

I did that, but I still can't seem to find a switched fuse. i put the light to them all and they lit up. I have to be doing something wrong. That is how I initially had it hooked up but the battery died that way too.
