New head unit couple questions

New head unit couple questions
What's up guys. Just bought a Boss single Din flip out for my 03 SS without onstar and have a couple questions.
A) I already did the stock radio with aftermarket amp and subwoofer hook up with the scosch (spelling) adapter that was a write up on here and it works great. BUT! do I REALLY need the door chime harness ti install headunit? iv read that you 100% need it and others say you don't at all if you can live without the chimes, cause I cant see my self spending that much money for a dam harness. And the unit comes with a steering wheel control adapter already.
B) Also purchased a back up camera with it but I don't know how to wire it so it will turn on and show up on screen when in reverse? Tap into the reverse bulb wires? Share with me your knowledge my friends!!!
