It's a piece of cake, you are probably just afraid of breaking the mirror :P

Take a small flathead screwdriver, and if you look up into the mirror you will see a tiny little slot that you can stick the screwdriver into. Stick it up there and push the screw driver to get the clip and pull towards you, now if will come out about halfway (these little enclosures are larger than you think) grab that part that stick out, and then put the screwdriver back in and push and pull some more, eventually the whole encasement will come out (it's a decent sized oval shape) and then the light is in the mirror still, just reach in and pull the light directly out and replace.

I used a small flat head to remove my mirror light cover, if you look at the map lights you can see where you put a screwdriver to remove it and then pull the light out with your fingures, you have to wiggle the bulb out and if will come out, the bulbs under the dash by your feet work for the map lights, took me a minute to figure it out too

If you really really can't figure it out today I can take a step by step in my car when i'm waiting for it to warm up before I drive home lol

But basically you leave the clear part alone, and you grab the black plastic around it and the whole thing is actually an assembly sitting inside the mirror.
