Default LTZ Aux input problem

Need some advise. I have a 2006 LTZ that has an aux input problem. Always works with my Sirius receiver, but sometimes when I disconnect the satellite it defaults to radio mode and will not go into aux mode with my Ipod Touch - "No Aux Input" displayed on radio head. Have tried different aux cables and my wife's Ipod with same results. End up connecting and disconnecting Sirius until it stays on aux input mode. Thinking about giving up Sirius anyway, and it seems the receiver has screwed up my stereo. Once I get it to work with the Ipod again, it will work for weeks with no issues, switching back and forth b/t satallite and Ipod. Then once it acts up, its a PITA to get to work right again.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I litterally don't know anything about this feature, so I don't know if this would help, but have you tried switching to a different source (like the radio) before unplugging the satelite and plugging in the iPod, then going back to the aux in? Sometimes when you disconnect a device that's in use, electronics don't like it.

New info.....Have determined the issue to be ground related. The ground thru the Sirius receiver allows the aux input to remain functional. Removed the fuse from the Sirius power cord to eliminate power and the aux input stays on until the ground is interrupted. Still cannot get the aux input to stay on to use with Ipod.
