Default Installing New Head Unit - Will NOT Turn on!!

I'm trying to install a new head unit into my 2004 monte carlo ls.. i already had an aftermarket HU installed but I am changing it again..

I dont have much experience with this but I matched all the corresponding wires together correctly and went to turn the car on to make sure it worked before putting dash back on and there was nothing.. no power at all... i have a scosche GM09SR/ GM09SRB harness with integrated chime in the mix.. i didnt install it myself with the first head unit but i remember the person who did had some problems with the install before because of that thing..

the head unit doesnt call for an orange illumination wire so i taped it off at. the diagram on the cover didnt really help me understand which one controlled the head unit, so i pulled all of them i thought it would be.. and they were all good. the fuse on the back of the unit is good too.

i dont know what i could be doing wrong here.. i have all the corresponding wires matched up and theres nothing happening

Is that the new harness?

You may have to wire a direct power supply, I had to do that with my last install, not 100% why I did but I think it was something with using a cheaper harness.

May not be the same case for you tho.

It should work if the harness is still the same, I would check to see if you pulled a wire, such as the remote wire when pulling the old one out.Check the remote black/red wires which are your hot/cold wires which turn on your radio.

Have you checked the corresponding fuse(s) that power the harness? You may have accidently popped one if the battery wasn't disconnected during installation.

check your fuse box too, to see if you blew the fuse in there

Anything electrical, you move from connect - > Fuses - > Test with A connection tester. If push comes to shove, you can go to a local audio shop and have them test it. The ones here are pretty nice about it, and usually they will sometimes help install.
