Default aftermarket stereo shut off problem

I installed the Pioneer deh-1300mp in my 2004 monte carlo LS awhile ago.I also installed the Scosche GM09SR / GM09SRB wiring harness with integrated chime function.

Some wires must be mixed wrong or something because my radio will continue running after I turn the car off, keys out of the ignition. Every time I park my car and get out I turn off the ignition, pull the key out, pull out the switch that turns on my lights, and then push it back in to turn them off, and the radio will shut off. If i dont do that, my stereo and subs will continue running until the headlights turn off. Could you tell me what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks.

(I tried to look into this awhile ago, and If i remember correctly it may have had something to do with the schosche...)

The remote switch is tapped into your headlights. You need to rewire your remote switch to a acc fuse or the regular wire inside your car. Usually audio shops will wire it into your steer wheel line, so when you turn the car on the radio cuts on but as soon as its removed, itll turn the radio off.

Its a simple fix for your remote wire.
