how to wire sub's remote wire

Default how to wire sub's remote wire

Where do I wire it? I have a Kenwood dnx5160 head unit.

There should be a blue (it's usually blue) wire coming out of the head unit in the rear with all of the other wires. Connect a very long wire to it and run it back to the amp and attach it to the terminal labeled REM or REMOTE. That's it. This wire provides a signal to the amp so that it will turn on when the head unit turns on.

If you don't have one coming out of the back of the headunit you can always wire it up to the accessory fuse that comes on only when the key is turned on the car, but the blue wire is the easier route.

thanks guys! i knew how to wire it just not which wire it was. now i have to wire my power to my battery and ill be all set!

And properly ground your amp
