Default HID Lights

Just finished installing my HID lights into my monte i still have to do the fog lights but that will probably be tomorrow. I also added a chrome grill and when it gets a little darker I'll be back to post some pics of the finished work.

i had HID lights before i was in an accident and they were great, except when i first installed them i kept blowing fuses left and right. after about 4 fuses i did some research and i guess its common to upgrade the fuse size (i think its a 15 and i replaced it with a 30) the first time it blew, i was driving and my light just suddenly went out. i was scared cause what if the other went out?! totally screwed. you may not have to and i wouldnt replace with a larger until it blows...but just so you know whats going on if something like that happens.

i have no problem with my ebay hid for the last 2 years now. i never replaced to any larger fuse either. did you buy a separate wire harness for it and make sure the headlights don't flash when locking/unlocking doors?

no i never did that but i knew that it couldnt be good for the HID's. i dont have them anymore but am thinking about getting them again. i got them off ebay from a company that had crappy shipping time...took a month to get and many times on the phone calling just to hear excuses. after the accident i was turned off of the idea just because of that. might buy them through zzp for 99 bucks not bad. so you say a seperate wiring harness would work? how did you wire them to get your lights not to flash?
