Default GM lan for 2006 head unit replacement with onstar

Has anyone see or heard of someone selling this yet the 2005 was a data bus not mine the 2006 they made it harder with a new gm lan with a smaller plug to. My factory unit is in the trunk and right now you have to switch to VTR to use the onstar. The people I had install it chop it in and did not ask me first they had said they had the right interface for it. I pulled it out to hookup my new amp I just about died. It had a Wire Ball in there.

Default RE: GM lan for 2006 head unit replacement with onstar

how long ago did they do the install?

personally i would take tons of photos for it and all of my papper wprk in to them and get a hold of amanger or even better a store owner if i could and explain as nice as i could that he was going to be replacing the wireing harnness under my dash

also get a quote from GM on how much it would cost for repairs etc...

also another option is to take a copy of everything you have and call you ins. co. and see ifthye can help you fight this if they did it wrong could be considerd a fire hazzard later
