i have one in all the vehicles that i drive. do to any thing could happen. like electrical fire oil fires and fuel fires. with a car you never know what is going on under the hood when it is running what is going to leak and spark a fire. it is good to have a fire extinguisher expessially to give time to get every one in the car to get out and get to safty

Car Fire Extinguisher:

The First Alert Auto Fire Extinguisher ($50) is the perfect safety accessory to have in any automobile. With over 400,000 car fires reported each year it's only a matter of time before it happens to you or someone you know. The First Alert fire extinguisher works on oil, grease, gasoline, and electrical fires in cars and owners say it's easy to use when time matters most. Comes with simple features that are easy to use, instructions, and a mountable safety bracket. It's UL rated 5-B:C and offers a 5-year limited warranty. As with any safety device, always get your fire extinguisher inspected by your local fire or police department every year to make sure it's still in good working condition. You can find this product online at Autobarn.net.

be aware of the above listing from Amazon, if you purchase that, it is for a PACK OF 4 .All Items are Brand New - We do Not sell Used, Rebuilt or Refurbished Products

This review is from: First Alert FESA5 Auto Fire Extinguisher, Red (Tools & Hardware)
I ordered two of this product to replace current car fire extinguishers. Beware - although it looks as if you can select quantity (e.g. one or two or three extinguishers) what you're actually doing is selecting quantity of boxes, and in each box comes FOUR extinguishers. So I ended up with eight extinguishers in total and had the pleasure of giving many away to family and friends as impromptu gifts. There seems to be no way to avoid this problem so please be aware that when you order QUANTITY ONE you are actually ordering one box of four.
