Falling Trim Piece

Falling Trim Piece
Ever since I got the car I've been dealing with this trim piece not wanting to stay up, it usually never falls that low, just did that for picture purposes, but it does not stay put. How do you secure that piece back up?

Is the clip for the windshield pillar trim piece just not holding, or is it missing? If it's not holding you can try spreading it out a bit and see if it holds. If not you'll need to replace the clip.

There are some clips on the trim piece itself and up where I guess its supposed to snap in, so I would say its not holding.

IIRC the clip is 2 piece. there's a push-in style fastener that passes through a thin flat piece. The thin flat piece slides into the trim then you push the fastener into a hole on the pillar. If the push-in fastener passes through the thin flat piece then hit up a wrecking yard for a replacement.

Mine had the same problem when I bought it. I replaced it. The tabs that are above the window have metal slots to hold them, but there is one "stud" if you will that is to have a metal clip on it and slide into a slot on the A-pillar. When removing those pieces, if you are not careful, you break those pieces.
Mine was missing, but I've glued the broken pieces back on for another car.
If you hit a yard and try to pull it out of a car, I recommend starting from the back of the car and gently/slowly work forward (sometimes trying to flex the part that wraps around the a-pillar helps).
