hey guys when i get my 03 ss i plan on putting a rather big system in it, i am of course going to need a bigger and better battery, (optima yellow top) and a higher output alternator (SP??)... any suggestions?? as to which one? and where to buy

it's ok we get this allot on any borad im sure it is the same lol

but take a look on the internet. and look for Gel Cell batteries there are some out there that are not optima but they are just as good or even better then them.
I have the yellow top becuse when i got mine there were littel choices when i was in Germany.

But there are defenly diffrent ones here in teh states for less price. that will give the same results.

so ya might beabel to save some cash

this is a subject that has tons of diffrent ways to do things and really none of them are all wrong but some are not all right either.

the myth that a cap. is all you need to fix dimming lights is one i hate to hear the most it is nothing more then a way to make you think it is fixed for about a week at best then you will notice the same thing happening over time.

But the good news is that any system can benafit from having one in the system. might not cure, but at least it will help take some strain off the system if your system spikes.
this will help level it out some more.
