yes preferably you will want a mono amp to push your subs. get one that is RMS rated to your subs. to stay on the safe side, get an amp that is rated somewhat below the RMS rating on the subs. so if you have DVC subs that are 600w RMS at 2ohms get an amp that is rated less than 1200 watt RMS. like say a 1000 watt rms at 2 ohms. thats if you have 2 subs. or option B is to use your factory amp to run your aftermarket speakers and the amp you have now if it is bridgeable run that to your subs. i think most people in this thread have used their factory amp with replaced speakers and used aftermarket amps and subs for bass. if you insist on using the amp you have now to power your speakers, then yes you will need another amp for the subs.
