Default Aftermarket Headunit w/ Factory Amp power output

So recently I picked up an 03 SS Highsport and I really enjoy the car as a daily but I realized the radio is a bit lacking in function; namely having to use a bluetooth radio transmitter is getting kinda old already and I've only had the car for about a month and a half lol. I want to replace the headunit with something more modern, probably an Alpine ILX407 or similar. My question is this; I have the factory amp and given it's 2024 there are many solutions for keeping the amp in place. But I had the thought, what will actually power the speakers, the internal amp from the new headunit or the factory amp? If it's the factory amp, I might just hold off until I have enough money to replace and rewire everything to save myself trouble later on. If it's the internal amp on the head unit, then that's fine, I'll be adding a seperate sub for a little extra bass anyway and I can continue to use the factory speakers with a HPF.

So where am I looking at guys?
