I have kicker DS6930's and they are pretty good for the money.

There are dozens of brands that will fit the bill. MB quart, Boston Acustic, Polk, JL, Infinity. I recommend you listen to them first and see if you like the way they sound. I have the Infinity Kappa and the sound is impressive, but THAT IS MY taste and preference. Keep in mind I listened to them before I purchased them. Always listen to the speakers before you buy them, don't go by anyone's opinions. It's your opinion that matters when it comes to speakers.

montyss02, we have similar tastes then! i agree though, every speaker sounds better to every ear. listen to a few and look at reviews, see if they describe what you like in how music sounds.
personally, my last sound system build was a full infinity build, 6 1/2's up front and 6x9's in the rear....all 3 way. sounded crisp and incredible when amped. liked them so much, decided to give their subs a shot and was not let down.
my monte has fosgates in the rear, but they are gonna come out soon for the link i posted above. 3 ways sound so great, and you cant beat that price for kappa's. i just put 6 1/2's 3 way infinity kappas in the front about 4 days ago, and wow. love em. found them on ebay for 95 shipped!

joedaslik, go crazy listening to as many speakers as you can and make sure you match speakers to whatever amp you're getting. Have you chosen the amp/s already? What are you're plans for the your system? (If you don't mind my asking)

I got those 6x9s and they sound fantastic, at least with the music I listen to (Salsa, Reggeaton, Hip Hop sometimes). I'm thinking about going with the T2s instead of the T1s I'm running right now. The Amp running the T1s can more than handle the T2s. I'm planning to build the door panels and install another set of components up front, Pioneer Premier, to handle the highs and leave the Boston Acoustic to manage the Mids up front. It should be a fun project.
