Upgrades on the way.
LOL i wish i knew that an hour ago. it DID fall off of the other pulleys and was a beotch to put on. I do have a ZZP Plog. I thought it was the same as a ported manifold. I didnt know if adjusting the timing to take care of the KR would be better than uppin the pulley. I wish i knew a 3800 tuner. I'll take a chance with the only shop i know of that tunes in town. Wish me luck!
The p-log isn't technically a ported manifold, it's more of a custom made replacement for the front manifold. People used to port the stock front manifold but the design and shape of the front manifold doesn't allow for very good flow even when you've opened it up as much as possible. Once ZZP came out with the powerlog, it pretty much killed the market for ported front manifolds. My mistake.
There is a cut-off at a certain point where more pulley is better than more timing.
Once you get to about 20* at WOT, then you've about maxed out the effectiveness of increasing the timing. If you can run a 3.4" at 15* or run a 3.5" at 20* without KR, then I would probably go with the 3.4" but I could be wrong. The higher timing/less boost would give you a bit better gas mileage, but I don't know how much power you lose per degree of timing pulled to run more boost.
I learned the hard way too. Someone pointed out that trick after I had changed the pulley in the dark. Now you know for next time though, eh?
-Riggs.

If you want to upgrade further, then I'd consider ditching the downpipe and getting a set of headers.
By the time you spend the money on a downpipe and powerlog, you've already spent as much as the cheaper sets of headers cost.

I guess intercooler would be a good next upgrade.
KR maxed at 2 WOT. is that still dangerous?

Hopefully the place that does your tune doesn't jump straight to the timing tables to get rid of the knock. Pulling timing so you can run a smaller pulley than normal with your mods is a bad idea, and I really hate going below stock timing tables.
Ideally, they would get your fueling perfect first, and then look into timing.
I found a place about an hour away that has tuned a bunch of GTP's. I will be getting a dyno tune this week.
I went to the race track Friday night and got a couple of 1/4 mile runs in. Now this is the first time i've ever raced a car of any kind. My First run was horrible. I spun all the way thru first gear. My time was 16.50. My second run i used traction control and ran 14.20. Hopefully with the Tune and a little more experience, would you think around mid 13's? Anybody with similar mods as mine know what they run in the 1/4? Thanks for all the help here and i'll post results after the tune... and a little practice

I would say mid 13s (like a 13.5) would be pushing it. I'd think 13.80s or 13.90s would be a more realistic goal. A lot of it depends on the track (track prep/weather), and your tires too- if you can't cut decent 60's, you're gonna have a hard time getting the ET's down. What kindof mph did you run?
I feel ya on the first run- I did the same thing in my gtp the first time I took it to the track. The last time I was there, I ran my monte (when it still had the 3100)- and I was powerbraking to ~2000 rpm and launching full throttle running high 16's with just a chirp on the launch. I figured my gtp would hook up somewhat decently (just had a few minor bolt ons) like it does on the street- but I didn't realize someone dumped oil all over the first 15' or so due to an engine blowing earlier. I went WOT almost immediately like I had on the street- and the thing shot for the rev limiter like it was in neutral (it spun like I was launching from the waterbox), shifted to 2nd and spun a little more- then I got into the decent pavement again, and it bogged and shifted back to 1st for a couple thousand rpm and back to 2nd. I ended up running a 15.6x with a stupid terrible 60'. Got a lot of jokes about that one...

Your first run sounded like my first run... except you got lucky and it shifted back to 1st. As far as MPH, i dont know. The ticket did not have a MPH for me on the 1/4, just the 1/8. I ran outside lane both runs, and both tickets showed the same, no MPH. The inside lane on both of my opponents run show MPH. My 1/8 on the 14.2 if i'm not mistaken was 77 MPH.... 1/4 Said NONE
There must have been some oil or something on the track my first run as well.(yeah yeah, thats the story) Ive never spun like that on the street.
