Hello,
I just bought a 2004 Monte Carlo LS 3.4 V6, is there any thing I can do to increase performance? (25-50 more HP) Everywhere I look all performance parts are for the 3.8 V6, will these parts work on a 3.4 V6? Please help thanks...

You could start with a K&N or Fram Air Hog. You should be able to find this for a 3.4.

I am not sure why I did not think of this in the first place, but if your looking for a 25 - 50 HP gain, why not go nitro.......

Wouldn't Nitro VOID the warranty?

 

Would I be able to use a K&N Aircharger made for the 3.8 on the 3.4?

 

Which is better K&N or the Air Hog for increasing HP?

 

I think the K&N and Air Hog use the same concept of reusable filter fiber to allow better air flow and easy cleaning. Not sure if there is a significant difference in HP. Usually HOT ROD et al get 2 to 3 HP with the K&N added to a high performance V8. I guess results would be similar for the V6. THOM
