U Bend Delete
I recently had my resonator deleted and replaced with a straight pipe. I wasnt sure what the U-Bend was when i was in the muffler shop so i didnt have anything done to it. Now that i know i will go back, i just need to know what to replace it with. Should i put in another straight pipe and just attach the O2 sensor? Or purchase a piece online to replace it?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I just had the performance shop chop out the U-bend with O2 sensor and custom fit a pipe with the O2 sensor mounted to the side... Very inexpensive compared to a downpipe replacement... Also depends what other mods you have in mind as far as the exhaust is concerned... Hope this helps...
Don't know if you are in the States... Up here in Canada we pay more for almost everything, so this cost me roughly $75.00, as I had the resonator deleted and a high performance Magnaflow cat installed at the same time... Already had my Magnaflow mufflers and Vibrant tips...
PS - If you meant what to expect performance wise, you'll be surprised... Better flow and response and better sound... Let us know...

just have them make a little piece of pipe to replace the "u" bend and in that little piece they will drill for the oxygen sensor and weld a new oxygen sensor bung in place so they can reinstall the sensor. very simple. if you have a welder you could do this yourself for probably $5......
www.ZZPerformance.com sells a delete piece for about $35-40.
