Pic's of Custom crossover and down pipe
My crossover pipe and all others to include the downpipe are back today from being ceramic coated. Matt is installing the items and should have my Monte up and running tomorrow. And he expects I can have it back by tomorrow evening, YEAH!! It's been 7 long months without the Monte and it's been killing me, missed all summer. But anyway I stopped in to see how the resurrection was coming along and took the opportunity to snap a couple photo's.
The new Cartuning custom turbo exhaust manifolds were already mounted so it's hard to see them. But look at the crossover pipe, it's a work of art. No one else does V-band connectors or the flex pipe on the crossover piping. The neo-angle configuration of the pipes run and all the nice welding. The porting where the turbo mounts is custom designed to provide optimal air flow. Matt said Kevin at Cartuning is interested in this as he does not offer this configuration and has never seen it done and wants to know how this all worked out. The custom down pipe looks pretty sweet to, lots of angles and welding.
The rest of the inter-cooler piping and such is still wrapped and waiting. The main item not yet back is the L26 UIM, so no photo's of her are available. It's going to look hot, as we are having it ceramic coated mulitple times to attempt to make it 's finish appear to be a highly polished aluminum. Matt said the coater is such a perfectionist and wants it to be perfect. Bet it will look B.A. all mounted back up and glistening away when I pop the hood, better than the OEM black plastic one. Maniac, Turbo Monte all suggested I needed to convert to the L26 UIM for strength and appearance. Thanks guys for your suggestions, it was the right move.

Hi Space, thanks much. I actually took some time off from work and went into the Ashely National forest on a camping / trekking jaunt. Probably the only time I will go out this year. It was not a marathon ordeal this time plus good boots and hi-tech socks (Wrightsock) and I came out with my feet in great shape compared to my past extended hikes. We did day hikes out of a base camp, just explored old sites or least ways tried to find some long forgotton ones of a couple old maps. Glad to be back, and I can hardly contain myself waiting for my Monte to be returned to me. I will take it to a car show this weekend in Ogden, it's a Wounded Warrior benefit event. Going to give a few of them a spin in the Monte and see if I can get them all pumped up for the day.

Hey thanks much John, you know this would not have been what it is without you mentioning the Cartuning Manifolds. They saved the day for sure. I too am happy to have went with the L26 UIM, thanks again for that suggestion too John! How is your new turbo upgrade coming along??
