It's something that I have noticed in tuning tables, stock tune asks for too much timing to be pulled for TCS

Definitely safer to just launch with TCS off.

didnt know this at all! atleast now i know! i always thought it was more dangerous to have traction control off. i thought it would make it easier to loose control of the car

Well i notice the difference when i race wit tc on and off. I feel like i get a way faster launch wit it on. When i launch wit it off I spin out for the longest and get beat on short runs. I ran a sho wit on and it was a blow out win foto me. Then wit tc off and we were head to head til about 3rd gear. Kinda hummed i should run wit it off lol but if its safer for my car id rather have a short burnout at launch lol

I've never looked into it, but being that it pulls timing, it could cause serious damage to an engine. However, you don't have to worry about it due to your electronic t/b. Your Monte more then likely doesn't pull any timing.

The post was edited after I posted.

He then would not need to top swap if he's already supercharged, obviously.
