Yea I noticed cuz his gtp is pretty dam fast but then again its dam near maxed out wit mods! Thanks for the advice guys ima post up some pics soon! Oh one more quick question. When I race I'm having trouble finding out how to launch. I usually launch at 3 RMPs wit my traction on. Is that a good way to launch? Cuz I heard launching wit traction control off at lower RMPs is better?

Launching your car with traction control on is a very quick way to ruin your wheel hub assemblies, your engine, and your transmission.

When your car has traction control activated, it pulls timing, if you are running hard you can pull that timing into very dangerous levels.

ive never heard this before. is this true with the ls4 cars as well? and what is being hurt by the timing being pulled? i never have the tc on just curious? i thought traction control worked on limiting revs traction was lost. i didnt think it was retarding timing.

there are multiple levels of traction control, on your ls4 you have drive by wire, so thats how yours will work, on ours there's no pulling throttle so they have to decrease power somehow, so they pull timing based on the tire slip, after that i was told it should start pulsing individual brakes, but i haven't verified the brake pulsing

brake pulsing is more for stopping, not going. If your foot is on the gas it has to limit the power from that.

If your foot is on the brake, it will limit the slip from that.

The timing tables go very very badly. A tuner can prevent your PCM from going dangerous while still keeping the ability there.

Stock the timing can be pulled too much increasing the chances of A LOT of knock and bad detonation which can cause damage

Wow thanks for the info thank god I haven't been racing that way for too long! From now on my traction stays off in races! I shouldve known because the mornin after I raced my car was makin a weird noise wit the belts! Squeeking kinda noise like it was loose or somethin. But it went away after an hour or so. Haven't heard that noise again since. Also after about 6 or 7 races back to back wit a mustang gt my car smelled funny. Like coolant I'm assuming

It retards your timing to dangerous levels, you don't have to worry about it with your electronic TB :p
