6th Gen ('00-'05): Need opinions on mufflers please
My stock muffler is getting holes in it and it is time to let it go. I would like to get an exhaust that makes some noise, but does not have a lot of drone in the interior such as straight pipes. I am currently debating the flowmaster 40 series delta flow and the 50 series delta flow, but the 50's are a bit too long to install. I do not have the money for a full on cat back system, just looking to replace the muffler. Also, I have a magnaflow cat back in place of the resonator. Any opinion on flowmasters or anything else is greatly appreciated.

best advice i can give you is go on youtube and listen to everyone elses exhaust, find one you like and do it. everyones ears like a different tone so what i like you may hate.
turbo monte is a 2.5" dp, no cat, no res, flowmaster super 40's when the cutout is closed. when the cutout is open its a 2.5" dp and thats it
for me to post a video of mine closed will do you no good because a turbo changes the exhaust sounds a ton.

I ran these before I went to a full aftermarket system:

and was very happy with them. They gave more of a 'growl' than the stock mufflers, but weren't very loud either.
Now I run the Pacesetter Monza system with a ZZP Down pipe.
