6th Gen ('00-'05): Fenderwell Intake

Fenderwell Intake
I just completed a custom fenderwell intake a few days ago and I decided to post the final product on here just so everyone can see what it looks like and for comments on how I did haha
it took me about 3 hours of labor, around $70 in parts, and A LOT of different pipe fitment combos until I got it just right.
I used all Spectre products, except for the rubber connector at the throttle body, that's a drain pipe connector from Lowes lol

Pretty sweet set up you made for your Monte, true cold air intake. Shows what one can do with a little ingenuity. Well done!

Thanks a lot Zippy! Recognition is always appreciated
Red Nightmare, have you had experience with Spectre tubing cracking before? I mean, I could see that with improper installation or tightening the connectors too much would cause that over time.
And lougreen03, what fender opening are you referring to?

I've had customers come in and tell me it cracks. Had a customer come in once for the tubing since it got a hole, when we took it apart the whole tubing just fell apart in my hands.. Its very cheap plastic.

The opening where the tube passes into the fender. It looks like your filter is down into the fender pretty far but there is nothing stopping hot air from the engine bay from getting in there. Zjerry used one on his and it looks great. Maybe he will see this and poat a pic.

yea, its the plastic tubing that is garbage. The rubber links and filters though are pretty good. I like the fact that the filter has a open front.
