So, the car is mine now but I found out im missing the o2 sensor on the converter and i covered it with metal tape!! :O just wondering what kind of damage I could of possibly put my car through?
and I notice a whining sound coming from around the belts what could that be?

water pump or the power steering pump. i would change the water pump and go frome there to prevent major damage to the engine. if there is a wine still coming from the engine then check the belts as well there might be a tentionerr or a bearing going bad. some where along those lines.

Why would you cover an open O2 hole with metal tape? Is it really that hard to go get a replacement O2 sensor- or a bolt to plug the hole? You will set a service engine light without the O2.

Also- there is no O2 sensor 'on the converter'- there is one before, up on the exhaust manifold, and one after- by the catback flange.

this is a new forum member. he is obviously new to cars, period. that would explain the metal tape covering the "drain hole".
i think we should try to remember ourselfs when we first started messin with cars. those of us who didnt have help other than the internet.
i know i was just as clueless and needed guidance.
our ignorance on his lack of knowledge is not going to help him, just chase him away.

im sure we will try to help you with your issue the best we can.

This is actually a post from april and I think it was resolved. The reason it was brought back now is cause some scummer posted some crap..
