Blue Protective Tape????????
I know this is probobly a stupid question... but does anyone know what that tape is that you see people place over the nose and mirrors of their cars to protect from chipping the paint when they drive there cars distance?? I am planning a couple longer distance shows with my car this summer and i want to put something on to protect my paint. Thank you to anyone who knows in advance......
One version is by 3M called Chipguard, www.chipguard.com.
I'm thinking of getting this put on soon.
My Father inlaw has it on his Accura, seems to work well, and it doesn't take away from the look of the car.
Or hold any of the junk in that can damage the hood that the regular types of Bra's do.

yea... i heard of the clear... but is it a removable deal each time you want to use the tape.. or is it permanent?? i saw this stuff... it was blue and it looked like the tape you use when you paint your walls.. it was removable each time you wanted to go somewhere you applied a new coat each time... thats the stuff i was lookin for .... thanks guys for the response
yea it looks like a cross betweek masking tape and duct tape... but the adhesive must be semi permanent... i saw it on a bunch of cars at HIN in boston a couple weeks ago....
Could it have been just 3M blue painters tape?
I take it this stuff was not transparent? We use this stuff all the time for aircraft to secure static port covers. It is pricy and available at any hardware store.
