looks nice, exactly what im trna aim for but i cant find a filter to fit all the way into the fenderwell, it gets stuck the more i push it in by the base

If anyone is worried about water like some of the original posters years back, there are waterproof socks that go over the filters to keep the water out. Moisture is one of the potential problems that those of us who tuck their filter inside the fender area could have if you get caught out in or live in a rainy area. There are other companied who make them too. You can even buy the material from K&N for those odd size filters and just make your own.

It looks like you have modded up your enigne bay pretty well. I may suggest getting a sheet of plexi, some super glue, a heat gun, and some gasketing material and make low profile box to block the engine bay air and capture the fenderwell air.


I should mention that K&N makes a huuuge range of 4" cone filters. They even have one 4 inch (connector size for most of these CAI ducts) that is 2.75" long in the filter (plus a couple extra for the mating rubber).
