Intake project I am working on
Will at overkill. I plan to have him do it again then log it this spring to make sure it's where it needs to be. Good guy.
I sent him 2 sets of computers today. So it will pry be a couple weeks. Will goes a good job. He knows the platform well.
Tonight I worked on making a front coil cover. I have some ideas using my engine cover I might have to upload a picture and see what you guys think. I just want to hide some of the mess up front.
Can't believe I haven't seen this until now. This is a nice build you have going on Zach. I have something like this on my mind for a future time so I'd like to know everything there is to know number-wise and performance-wise about this when you have logged some time on the new setup. Most importantly, how much of a hp increase you see from this modification alone.
Are you planning to paint/finish the new LQ4 intake? I could see that looking good in black (like the stock color) or red.
Regarding the engine cover idea you mentioned, I think I know what you have on your mind - possibly involving the Corvette technique? I want to see what you have up your sleeve with that one.

What are you planning on doing Matt? I can't wait to see what this makes the car capable of. I wired up the TB pigtail last I got and was by far the most stressful part so far. I have to wait until I get my computers back to test it.
Yes I plan on sanding it and filling it with fiberglass body filler and painting it. I am leaning towards black at the moment.
Right now it is in rough development as I figure out brackets for it I will post some pictures. I am taking it all down today and plan to start the finishing process.

Fuel lines run and out of the way. I am going to get some heat wrap for the fuel lines to make sure the heat from that crossover stays off of them. Unfortunately that is the only place to run it without it looking like total crap. But there is quite a bit of room between the two so it shouldn't be much of an issue I don't think.

the start of sanding and filling

all done for the night. It is really starting to take shape.
