How can you mock it up with your LS4 throttle body? Isn't that a 4 bolt and much smaller?

Nice, looks like a pretty trick one off mod. Looks huge too!! Now your going to have to bang out a bump in your hood for clearance... No I bet not, good luck with this, slow and steady wins the race. Will be interesting to see what your final numbers are at a cost per hp breakdown. If you can get say 35 hp for a few hours work that's cheap, as we no some mods you can spend hundreds on and get maybe 15 hp from it and so on to the next mod for another 15 hp. Gets expensive to make power, so it's cool if you can pull this off on a budget.

It will be really really close to the hood. I bet I clear it by less than 1/2 after it is shaved down and I find where to relocate the MAP and PCV. I am hoping to be in the 325whp range with what I listed in my original post. Whether that is too high or low...idk that's just my goal. The stock ls4 intake is pretty much terrible...the inlet is bottlenecked so badly idk how it makes the power it does.

I got a lot of work done last night. I am ready to start thinking about slapping this thing in for a test fit maybe this weekend. It is all shaved and welded back up except the pcv and map. Once I find a place to relocate that it will be totally smooth on the top.

Mel I could pry do that. There needs to be work done under the hood too but you could handle that. For the first time doing one of these intakes it wasn't too bad. Took me about 3 hours total to shave it.
