hey, i'm a newbe on this site, and i need some help, i wanna put on a intake on my monte but that computer which appears to be the ecm is nesting in my air box, what can i do? i got a 2005 3400 ls btw, i hate these huge restricted airboxes, and now i got a computer sitting in it, if anyone has any ideas or info or anything i can do about this i would greatly appreciate it! thanks

the k&n kit comes with a relocator for it...however it lists that its for the 3.8 and not the 3.4...we were discussing this a while back..and i still don't see why it wont work...or just wait till everyone is up in the morning for the guyz that made their own

 

I just put the New K&N Cold Air Intake in and it is awesome. The directions areextremely detailedand tells you exactly what to do with your ECM. Mine mounted to a bracket which was included with the K&N CAI. It took a little over an hour to install. I have a 2002 Monte SS and it now sounds like a caged up pitbull waiting to be released after putting that intake on.

 

If I am not mistaken, the puter on the 3800 is almost identical as the 3800.


Try here http://www.intense-racing.com/ and look for part number GMH-PTR under the 3800 section under electronics & PCM. It's only $17.00 and may be worth a tray..

 

The Wizaired has a strap that holds the puter down. They might have upgraded that to a box in the latest revision at zzperformance.com
