Default Exhaust System for 2006 Monte Carlo Lt

Hey guys looking at getting an exhaust system for my 06 Lt which is a 3.5. I have a single right now but I am looking to get dual. I want to get the MagnaFlow exhaust system and i have been looking at this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...Q5fAccessories

now would that fit good? would i have to get cut outs on my bumper if that is even possible

when i got mine i had to have the tip on the left cut off an inch, and get the hangers welded to the frame lower then stock. they kept trying to convince me to cut my bumper but i decided not to. its not as easy as it sounds. by that i mean theres more then just plastic to cut out.

dont get me wrong i will eventually get an ltz bumper cover, but want to find one off a wrecked car. there pretty expensive.

magnaflows make the 3500 sound nice.

makk if you plan to get another bumper, you should have just gotten it cut.

i agree with makk, i would keep my eye out for an ltz bumper off a wrecked monte. then you'll have a clean, stock look.

as for the magnaflow system. there has been good reviews about magnaflows on the 3.5L's on this forum. i don't have the whole system, just the mufflers with stock resonator. i've thought about getting the magnaflow resonator also, but i like the sound as it sits.

i would recommend exploring your options rather than just going out and buying the magnaflow system. you could probably get the mufflers and/or res off ebay and have something fabbed at a muffler shop for much cheaper.

I went from single to dual exhaust. I added Magnaflow mufflers, and 14" Magnaflow resonator. I think it sounds awesome for a V6.

you dont need to cut the bumper if the shop knows what there dooing on hanging the mufflers they should hang it with room to spare under the rear bumper. the magnaflows do sound nice i have the flow masters but just kind of wish that i went with magnaflow but the two brands are good but it is also preference as well.

ya really getting the mufflers, tips, ypipe, and possibly a resonator, is a lot cheaper.

i just got mine cause i like the way its sounds, and looks. listen to clips on you tube.

sonny your right i should have just cut it, if i plan on replacing it anyways.

who wants to buy a ls/lt bumper.

by the way i have 3.5 inch tips. there a little overkill, but they came with the setup. personally i think 2.5 would look cleaner if you hang below, plus you'll scrap less. its all personal preference.
