Cold Air Intake 98 z34

RE: Cold Air Intake 98 z34
I found thesesource for aluminum tubing silicone hosewhen I built a CAI for my Firebird. Decide where you want to filter to be, then run the tube.
I made the mistake of buying a CAI for my 96 Z34 off Ebay, didn't do much more than wear a hole in the filter and AC drier.

RE: Cold Air Intake 98 z34
your in luck. i havea 96 Z34.. our engine bays are the same.... here is the link to my site i have a complete writeup on how to build a cold air intake. aka FWI (fender well intake)

these work just as well as any kit you can buy. the important thing is sealing the fender so hot engine bay heat doesnt leak in.

RE: Cold Air Intake 98 z34
Thanks for all the info guys. Since i'm new to working on cars do you think it would be smarter for me to buy a hot air intake kit until i gain a little more knowlegde about what i'm doing. Also what could i mess up by trying a FWI?
