I've got the Wizaired from ZZPerformance. It makes a really intimidating sucking sound that just screams power. I noticed a huge jump when I installed it. ZZP has also recently dropped the price to $190 as well. It's a great deal.

dad0098 - that sounds pretty sweet!!! I've got a naturally aspirated with a cheapo intake. I actually noticed a difference in power as well as sound... Looking to upgrade to the Wizaired - that seems to be top choice, or at least the most popular.

Has anyone installed the "ram air" hood - I noticed it on PFYC.com - that thing looks mean!!

I've chatted with a guy on another forum (stioloitx or something) and he compared the PFYC hood with the one that he got from MPD. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2082883/4

The MPD hood is made better witha steel frame and fiberglass coveringand weighs less by about 20 lbs if I remember. The MPD hood does cost more though by about 50 bucks.

The "ram air" concept doesn't help that much just due to physics, but it does offer colder air. It was more usefull on the older carborated engines where your air cleaner was in the middle of the hood. With the larger intakes of a Cold Air Intake being up front it kind of nulifies their use.

Here is actuall a cool link on the ram air concept where they use a leaf blower directly into the intake. Remember physics will dictate that air going into a ram air intake will slow down and cause back pressure so you won't gettheforced (ram) air you would expect. It simply won't compare with a leaf blower at the speeds we're talking here, once you clear 370 MPH ram air starts to make sence - hence the reason it is part of the concept in jet aircraft.
