As thesubject says, will be here in a few days, I already have the old airbox out and have the trans computer/ecm cables removed. All is ready to go! If anything the sound will be great, not sure I am going to gain 13HP as K+N claims... We will see!

yah...its 13 hp @ 5300 rpms which is very rare to hit anwyay..lol...

you will notice the difference...but 13 hp i dont know about..lol..you'll have to post pics when you get it installed let us know what you think

 

I went to k&n's website and could not find an intake for the 06 SS. Where did you find it? Was it on a different site?

 

You wont find it listed for an 06. It is listed for an 07 however and everything is identical between both years. Same with the Impala 5.3L, Its all the same. I am picking it up tonight and will have it installed tonight!

 

These void factory warranty right?

Well I put it in last night and the fit was really good. Took me about an hour start to finish. Here is a few pics I took! It sounds amazing!!!!! Gave my exhaust note a much deeper tone as well!

have you tested it out yet?? noticed any difference??

 

I didn't take it out for a long trip, but it defititely pulls harder and the throttle response is much quicker!

 

At least they wouldn't pass a California Smog Emissions Inspection.
