RE: Any Tips on CAI
The coupler is a 4" to 3.5" and its one coupler. The 3.5" side of the coupler connects to the mass air flow sensor and the 4" side conects to the k&n air filter you have to measure the diameter of your air filter that connects to the air flow sensor to know its size. 3.5" to whatever your air filter size is.

RE: Any Tips on CAI
YOU PROBABLY HAVE A 3.5" THROTTLEBODY, I BELIEVE THE THROTTLE BODY IS ABOUT THE SAME SIZE OF YOUR MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR.
Any guys with the 3800 motor please post the sizes for your throttle body and intake set ups.
My setup is diffrent from your not sure by how much, but the other members I believe can help you a little more

RE: Any Tips on CAI
1- 3" to 4" coupler
1- 22 degrees ABS elbow
1- 4" ABS pipe
1- ABS roof flashing with the rubber seal
1- K&N with a 4.5" inlet to go over the ABS pipe
one other thing. i had to machine down the O.D. of my elbow cuz the 3" to 4" coupler was too small to fit over the end.

Dang we have enough info in this thread to make a sticky. Good job guys and thanks. Now, its just getting the sources for these items and we are a step closer.
I am still trying to sell the mods and spacer plate from my totalled car. Go figure. I haven't sold a thing. I would put them on Ebay tonight, but,I have ASE testing. Then I have been helping my girl buy a house. Wish things would happen so I can continue with my upgrades. Not saying the car needs to be faster. Now, I am trying to get more fuel milage.
New CAI and plugs and wires are what I want to do next. Then make a switch to Mobil1 oil. See if I have any change as well. If I can keep my foot out of it and stay at 70 miles per hour. I can get 30 miles per gallon.

If anybody wants, we can add this to the FAQ: CAI and Exhaust" thread in teh General Monte Carlo section. We'll just have to type up the info in a tech article style and put in there... i can edit the post. if anybody wants to type up anything I'll certainly give you credit.
