Default 44s Flowmaster & K/N CAI

I want to install some 44s flows with a K&N CAI on my 07 Monte SS..However, a buddy of mine said that it would be pointless unless I also installed new headers along with that. How true is that claim? Would installing these without the headers increase my performance?

yeah it should. if its a real CAI. and you might get some (tiny bit) out of the aftermarket mufflers. but you dont need to get new headers to get more performance.

Mufflers are for sound, nothing performance oriented for you. If you don't want to do headers you could look into the Hogan Downpipe

The K&N is okay... but if you could get this CAI it will work much better since it has a real heat shield.

It's up to you. What sounds better. Watch/listen to YouTube videos to get an idea of what you like better.

It all depends on what you like for sound, but I run Magnaflow
