I sold my Pick up at a moments notice. Then the Hunt was on. Not for a Monte Carlo. I was looking at trucks. Then a friend at work showed me his 06 SS. I liked the bodystyle!!. So the next morning I typed in M/C's for sale. Found 8 of them. Got this one by luck. I went to buy a 06 Silver SS. I seen the night before. But when I got there. It was sold . But I had 7 more to look at. Even a Hemi Dodge Charger. The last car I looked at was A Honda dealer. I drove thur the lots. Didn't see it. So I was turning to leave the lot. When A guy head of me stopped for traffic. While waiting I looked Left. Seen a Bright Red bumper sticking out. OH OH I said to my wife. I backed up. And pulled behind this BIG RED MACHINE. I said to my wife. If this beauty has Leather & a V8. Its going home with me. I was all over it. inside outside under it. I could not beleive How clean this car was all over & under. Look like someone had it detailed. I talked to a salesman. He said one of the guys that works there. Father in Law traded in a few days ago. With 62,000 miles on it. Ran a carfax. Can out clean. And Now sits in My Garage next to my Chevelle.

 

wasn't really looking to buy a monte or any other car at the time i just got my lic back a few months befor and was driving a 88 s10 blazer at the time, but had a friend who owned it and it hurt, was a good looking car with a bunch of potential with someone who would drive it year round and not give it the love it needed, later to find out he hit a pole in his work parking lot and is looking to sell, scrambling trying to figure out a way to buy it i talk to my budy who said he'd loan me the money for it $300 for the car, i gave him a hundo for financing it for me and bought a new(used) header and bumper cover from him for $150 total $550
cought it right befor it hit the scrap yard!

Wow this is a great thread, fun to read all the stories. Now here's mine, We searched for a good used car for months and found nothing decided to go to a tent sale at a local dealership, test drove a few cars and nothing seemed right for the money. We left and a while later the salesmen calls me back saying I have the perfect car for you went back to test drive it and hated it, but then I noticed the Monte Carlo ss/sc. I told him I could be persuaded into buying that. The price in the window was below 8000 cuz they were giving 2000 cash back on any car over 8000. So I scored a great deal and got a super sexy car in the process.
