Wish I could tell my story, but its way to long to type with one hand (recovering from a severe right hand injury at the moment). Great thread though, I enjoy reading it. Maybe I'll bring it back from the dead in a month or two. LOL

Very cool stories!
I special ordered my 03 in October of 02 from Lattoff Chevrolet in Arlington Heights IL. It only took about 6 weeks and it arrived the Wed before Thanksgiving. I really wanted to pick it up Wed night, but I couldn't get to the bank in time to withdraw the money so I had to wait until the Fri after Thanksgiving - it was agony waiting LOL but worth it!
I bought my 05 in Feb of 09 used at Patrick Hyundai in Schaumburg IL. My fiance found it for me, but they also had it listed on ebay and would have had to pay $1000 more to buy it off the lot. Soooo the auction was ending that night so I bid on it at the last minute and won it for $9999.99. First time I ever bought a car off of ebay.

I got mine at the end of Jan 2010 (1/20/10 is the official start date on here and the day I got my Monte ) and mine was a 1 owner from Newberg, OR witch is about 185 miles away from where I live in Sunriver,Or. It was one of the bet ones I could find at the time I traded my 1993 k/5 Z-71 blazer sport and $5,000 cash ( I think it was a steel at the price ) 15 more days and I Will have owned my Monte for a year!! = )

Bought my last Monte (2001 LS) with 28k miles from a no-haggle dealer in central PA in Sept 2004. Traded that in at 120k to the same dealer for the 2004 Intimidator the day after thanksgiving in 2008.

I got my 00' pace car 2 day before new years from a honda dealership. my step mom found it on autotrader and told my dad and i to go check it out. Well after 6 hours and 4 grand later i was driving off with my new monte. We took it to a sho the next day and got new brakes and AC. so it was actually around 5 grand for the car. 134k Miles.

Ever since I paid off the '94 Grand Am I bought in '03, I had been saving that money (used to make life easier with paying for my car repairs and maintenance). I was also saving that money to buy my next daily driver in CASH.

Shortly after getting married, looking at the '94 Grand Am with about 170K on it, I thought it time to shop for a new ride. My original plan when the G.A. was paid for was save for a '97-'02 Grand Prix (I think '02 was when that syle ended). When I was ready to shop, I decided the GP style I wanted was too old, too common and all of the ones around me had rotted rocker panels.

I starting looking for a 6th gen Monte (I really wanted the blue/silver '03 Pace Car, but the few I found were WAY too much). A guy on eBay sold me the one he had for a reasonable price (when I was said and done, tax/title/license) it was $9500 for an '04 Monte SS with 52K on it back in '08. He met me half way to look at and buy the car (as he and the car were 4 hours from my location).

I have been thrilled with the car since the day I bought it. Second favorite car to my '84 Camaro (which is a long term restore project now). And my '94 Grand Am has over 200K on it, runs great and since it still runs allows the Monte to be covered for the winter.

Bought my 03 SS from my dad last summer after I sold my 03 Pontiac Grand Prix SS. The best investment I ever made.

Bought my Victory Red 02 SS Limited Edition right off the the Barber Brother's Chevrolet, Spanish Fork, Utah dealer's show room floor. Went in looking at Camaro's but the Monte's body style just looked sleek and clean. Paid about $28,500 plus or so. Have had it for 8 years now. Ended up modding it with a full race motor and Turbo after I got tired of always getting taken out by Evo's, STI's,SRT8's and Mustang GT's. Now it's pretty much a fun event everytime one goes out, never know what challenge will roll up on you.
