Default Where to start

Hey everyone I have a 1998 Monte Carlo Z34 that I love and which runs perfect. But unfortunately it was cursed with the dreaded peeling white gm paint. There is almost no paint left on the roof and it is covered with surface rust there. The rest of the car is not much better. I bought this car like four years ago for around 3500 as it had no paint problems then and only 59,000k miles. To really paint it right I'm looking around 1,500 to 2,000. That's just not worth it to me since by now its worth the same or more than the whole car. What I want to do is find a 6th generation Monte Carlo with a blown engine or junk tranny and drop my power train in there. Does anyone know where to look to find cars like this? I don't want a wrecked car just one with a bad engine or tranny.

I don't know off hand where to find a car like that. I've seen one or 2 people try selling them here like that over the years but not often.

Why don't you plasti dip your car for now so it looks better?

Just a thought it's cheap and can be pealed off also.

I agree with doing the plasti dip. You could look on ebay or craigslist to find one maybe.
