Default What is the standard oil pressure reading

On my Monte SS SC, the oil pressure sits a little lower than I think it should.

A picture is attached

to show you where it sits when warmed up.

Is this an acceptable level when warmed up?
Or is something needing to be checked?

When I accelerate around 2/5 to 1/2 the way pedal downward, it goes up to 2 lines past middle oil pressure wise.

That's normal. Pressure goes up as rpm goes up till max pressure of the over pressure spring is reached. Then the excess oil is passed back to pan to relive pressure. Kind of like a Wastegate/blow off valve in a turbo setup.

IMO, if you're actually concerned about oil pressure, forget that garbage factory gauge and install a temporary pressure gauge tapped into the oil circuit to get actual #s to compare to the spec. That's the only right way to confirm an issue or not.

That garbage factory gauge is actually very accurate due to how it receives its signal from the pcm. It just doesn’t have a good number display showing where the needle is pointed.
If a scan tool is connected would you trust the oil pressure reading from that?
