Disabling Unlock Beeps
Hey Everyone,
I have a 2004 Monte with the 3.8. I was wondering if anyone out there know how to disable the beeps that the car makes when you hit the unlock button. I still want it to beep when I lock the car, but find it kind of annoying when it has to beep two times every time I unlock it.

Yes you can, get your hands on a Tech2 scanner and you’ll be amazed what you can change on these old beauties.
My car:
DRL-off
unlock horn-off
lock horn-single short
auto headlights-on when put in gear only
Edit: I believe with a factory radio the horn chirps for door lock functionality can also be changed. But can’t remember, my 2003 has had a Kenwood DVD touchscreen since 2006.
