Use the AC Delco, recommended by the shop that built my Monte as I went through 2 Optima Redtops in about 3 years (If you did not start your car once every 2 weeks seems like I always had a dead battery). and had warranty issues so after that went to this AC and no more discharging/ draining problems... Yeah

I just put "wahtever" in mine and never have noticed a difference in their lfie. I have an Advanced Auto brand battery right now, 3 years going strong. I've used Duralast, Napa Gold, and I think Exide all with the same results.

Honestly this has been my experience also. I could see the need for a "better" battery if one were into high power stereo competitions, etc. I am not, though.

I've been using ZZP's "race battery" (only weighs 13.5lbs, almost 30lbs lighter then a typical car battery), which is actually a painted Odyssey battery for just over 2 years with no problems.

Most all the batteries in America are made by Johnson Controls. They're all made in the same factory using the same parts with just different stickers on it. Look to see if it says "made by Johnson Controls, Milwaukee, WI" If so, it's just the exact same as any other battery. Go with Everstart MAXX, from Wal-Mart. Its the same as the rest of them for the cheapest price.

That weight savings would be nice.
