Default What battery do you use?

just wondering which batteries are you guys using on you're monte carlo's? pretty soon i'm gonna need a new one and not sure which one to go with. i currently have the Duralast GOLD 78 series been in the car since 2003 but the word is that they're pretty much crap lately so i'm leaning toward AC Delco, Energizer, or Die Hard (gotta give out 800+ CCA's)

i've used optima before and they don't really last more than 4 years before its time for a new one and i got a bunch of mechanics that agree with me.

Man, I use to work at AutoZone. Once this guy brought in a brand new Optima Redtop. Had to use gloves because the battery was so hot. He returned it because he wasn't satisfied. I set the battery on the counter to cool off. It must have had a short or something because that battery stayed burning hot for at least 4 hours!
IMO I would stick with DieHard.

I've got an interstate. No problems since I put it in about 18 months ago.

I've used interstate batteries with good results. I have also had good luck with Duralast batteries too. I wanted an Optima battery because I like the way it looks but if they are junk I'll pass.

my ac delco in my colorado died at 4 years this winter, the ac delco in my wifes trailblazer died this past summer at 6 years. anything over 4 years in a battery is good imo.

The MC we bought my son, had a AC/Delco, but was going bad. We put in a Interstate. I personally have no luck with a Interstate, but he wanted one. It's been in about a month and a half. (So far, so good !! )
