Keeping it as a donor car for "Jasper" would have been nice, but there's not much storage space here in Suburbia land, and then there's the bee's...argh!!!. Lots of good suspension parts, but it has to be capable of rolling onto the back of a flatbed for its trip to the salvage yard...lol. Hopefully it can help extend the life of many other Monte's.

I know its a fairly old thread, but in case others search for the discontinued lifter tray PNs, at least this info will be tied to it.

Looks like ZZP is playing with aftermarket lifter trays now. Don't know anything about the material, but it looks like they show it being used on roller chains (double chains at that - something the 3800 has never had a tensioner for before), so this should be more than durable enough for lifters.

Good catch to add this to the thread! I saw the same thing yesterday. Make things more interesting, looking at the trays, it almost looks like they were 3D printed.
It is nice to see ZZP is still working to support the beloved 3800!

I agree! With Intense supposedly winding down operations in the near future, they're going to be about the only big 3800 place left. Nice to see they're still spending a little of their R&D budget on this platform with everything else they've got their hands in these days. Just wish they were working a 1" chain replacement instead, lol.

When I spoke with a ZZP a few months ago their rep said this was in the works. Looks like it has finally come to fruition. Thanks to ZZP for standing up to keep 3800s alive! Sooooo many parts being discontinued for our Monte's.
